- New data field beginning in 1993: GO bus + passenger, School bus +
passenger, Regional bus + passenger and Bicycle.
- Counts were conducted from 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. However, some stations
started as early as 5:45 a.m. and some did not start at 6:30 a.m.
- Light trucks have been broken down to light trucks with 1, 2 and 3+
passengers.
- Cyclists are not included in the total person or total vehicle category.
- Truck drivers and occupants are not included in the total person
category.
- Beginning in 1983, counts were taken over a 2-year period. Data for
all roadway, subway and commuter rail counting locations comprising the Downtown
Cordon and the Downtown Core Cordon was collected during the Spring of the year
prior to the cordon count year. Caution is therefore advised in using the data,
particularly in the case of individual transportation facilities which may have
been counted over 2 year at different counting station locations.
- Beginning in 1985, Highway 401 North screenline was counted during the
peak periods only; 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- The taxi driver is used in categorizing vehicle types but not used in
calculating the number of person crossings. That is, as taxi with no passengers
is counted as a cab with 1 occupancy but 0 persons passing through the station.
