  1. Counts were conducted from 6:00am to 8:00pm.
  2. Stations along Steeles Avenue east of Yonge Street were counted by York Region for 2001 and added to the Toronto database in September 2002.
  3. 2001 TTC bus volumes for stations 435, 444 and 455 may also include a small proportion of York Region Transit buses.
  4. Truck Drivers and Occupants are not included in the total person category.
  5. Beginning in 1983, counts were taken over a 2 year period until 1995, and then in 1998. Data for all roadway, subway, and commuter rail counting locations comprising the Downtown Cordon and the Downtown Core Cordon was collected during the spring of the year prior to the cordon count year. Caution is therefore advised in using the data, particularly in the case of individual transportation facilities which may have been counted over 2 years at different counting stations. In 2001 all data are collected in the same year.
  6. Beginning in 1985, Highway 401 North screenline (screenline 1010) was counted during the peak periods only; 6:30 am to 9:30 am and 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. This screenline has not been counted since 1998.
  7. The Taxi Driver is used in categorizing vehicle types but not used in calculating the number of person crossings. That is, as taxi with no passengers is counted as a cab with 1 occupancy but 0 persons passing through the station.
