Comment and Information for 2006 York Counts:

1. The count was undertaken manually, and by Automatic Traffic Recorders (ATR) as follows:
   
   • Freeways and busy regional roads were counted both manually during peak periods 6:00 to 11:00, 14:00 (2:00 pm) to 19:00 (7:00 pm) and ATR for 24 hours with data from 6:00 to 19:00 inserted into the databank.
   • Low volume regional roads were counted by ATR for 24 hours with the data from 6:00 to 19:00 inserted into the databank.
   
   The method of counting for each station is identified in the list of stations available here.
   
   
2. The vehicle totals were controlled, for all stations, by the ATR data. The vehicle distribution was as counted for manually counted time periods and the average of other manual counts in the area for ATR counted time periods.
   
   
3. Taxi and bus drivers are included in the occupancy of taxis and buses.
   
   
4. Stations 806-811 have been shifted slightly to the North, and still retain the same station number. The stations were formerly North of Davis Dr, and have now been shifted to North of Green Lane.
