Comment and Information for 2009 Peel Counts:

1. Region of Peel counts were conducted from 5:30 am to 8:30 pm.
   
2. All Peel stations were conducted manually.
   
3. As of 1993, taxi and school bus have been recorded in separate categories.
   A taxi with just the driver and no passenger is recorded as a Cab1, with 1 passenger as Cab2, etc.
4. Cab1s are counted and included in "total trucks" (commercial vehicles).
5. Cab2s - 4s are counted as auto passengers.
6. Bus drivers are included as bus passengers.
7. Truck drivers are not included in the total person category.
8. Aggregate trucks were a new vehicle category added in 2001.
   Tractor-trailers is a new vehicle category added in 2004.
9. GO Rail Trains are not counted as vehicles.
10. A new set of simplified screenlines have been developed in 2004.
11. New stations added in 2009 include: 73,168 & 607.
12. Toronto boundary stations added to Peel database in July 2010.
